The Next Step

One of the blessings of traveling for work is that I can choose where I go “home” on the weekend.  So, over the last few months, I have been flying to Florida to visit with my girlfriend Patty about once every month.  Our relationship has blossomed, and I have really fallen in love with this young woman.

Today marks a new day for a new step.  Today, September 29, 2007, my future has changed into our future.  Today she said yes!  We hiked up to one of my favorite mountain spots in Colorado and I asked her to be my wife, and gave her a beautiful ring.  I can’t wait to begin the next phase of this journey, where it is no longer my journey, but our journey!
